ONC's Nutrient Delivery & Micro-Encapsulation Technologies Group designs commercial, proprietary technologies for incorporating bioactive compounds, such as Omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs), EPA & DHA, into foods.

Patented technologies include micro-encapsulation of Omega-3 EPA/DHA oil into our highly successful Powder-loc™ powder, which the group continuously tests and improves. The group's explorative technology focuses on new methods of delivery, such as emulsions, innovative spray drying and coatings.

The Nutrient Delivery group works with other ONC groups - Oil Chemistry, Food Science, and Technical Services to test and validate technology improvements. A pilot plant facility is used for scale-up experiments and food grade product samples.
