Ocean Nutrition Canada (ONC) is home to North America’s largest privately owned marine research and development facility. This facility consists of 11 Ph.D.’s and 30 scientists researching Omega-3 EPA/DHA.  ONC has the most sophisticated analytical equipment in the industry, which guarantees the quality, efficacy, and consistency of its natural Omega-3 fatty acids. 

The ONC labs:

• develop and improve processes for producing Omega-3 concentrates with good sensory and stability
• develop Omega-3 conjugates and salts targeted at specific health conditions
• develop micro-encapsulation processes to enable the delivery of Omega-3 oils into foods without impacting taste and shelf-life
• develop and validate new analytic methods for establishing the quality and stability of Omega-3 products, including food products
• develop food prototypes incorporating our Omega-3 powder
• discovery and develop new marine-derived supplement and functional food ingredients
• carry out safety trials and human clinical trials on all our products
• look for renewable sources of Omega-3 oils such as marine microorganisms
• work with customers to help them be successful in the marketplace using ONC's products and technologies
